My baby girl is officially 5! It seems like she was just born. We celebrated her birthday on Saturday with a few friends and family. She’s been talking about her fashion show birthday party since March and was so excited when the day finally came. Here are some pictures from her party.
Matt’s dad made the frame for the dessert table awning. I just gave him a picture of what I wanted with dimensions and POOF…it was done. At least that’s the way I saw it. 🙂 I painted it white and made the awning.

Patisserie means “a shop where French pastries and cakes are sold” so I thought it would be perfect as a banner above the dessert table.
This banner was across from the dessert table over the dinner table. I didn’t get a picture of the dinner food because it was put out last and was gone before I could get a chance but Matt’s parents made everything and it was so delicious! Matt wanted to do what they call “Guam food”. Grilled chicken, lumpia, pancit and red rice. YUM! So thankful they did it! It was a huge help!!

Each little guest got to take home a t-shirt. Barbie silhouettes for the girls and tie shirts for the boys. {Tutorial for these coming soon.}

The runway is made from a 9 foot pallet I found. I painted a piece of plywood and my dad nailed it to the top for me. I made the curtain frame and will post that tutorial soon also.

I laid out accessories for the girls to dress up with and they took turns walking the runway as many times as they wanted.

I made Claire’s dress inspired by the one Barbie wears in the movie and will be posting that tutorial also.

The fashionistas walked the runway to music from Barbie in a Fashion Fairytale and “You’re never fully dressed without a Smile” from Annie

The boys are modeling the tie t-shirts I made.

We blew up the bounce house so the boys would have something to do besides walk the runway. =)

Matt’s dad drew the Barbie silhouette for me.

The girls played pin the bow on the Barbie.

Claire had been asking for a sewing machine forever so she could sew beautiful dresses. =) I think we will start with something easier for her first lesson.

Modeling their t-shirts.

After all the guests were gone Claire told me how much she loved her party and thanked me for it. So sweet! Made it all worth it!
