- canvas drop cloth approximately 15″x 80″ (I always have a sheet on hand to use on various projects)
- wreath form (mine measured about 13″)
- embellishments of your choice (I used a feather, moss, birds nest, eggs and a flower)
- hot glue gun
- measuring tape
Then I sewed them together end to end. Open up the seams and iron them flat. (Sorry no picture of that step.)
Then I set my sewing machine to the longest stitch length.
Sew a basting stitch along the edge all the way to the end.
Then take one of your threads and pull to create the ruffle.
Pull it all the way to the end so it looks like this.
Then begin wrapping it around your wreath form. I hot glued it at the beginning to secure it in place.
Wrap it all the way around and hot glue it at the end.
Then I hot glued my embellishments to the front.
I have a few more projects to finish before the mantel is complete!
